What mjr said. I'm temporarily using another client and I haven't seen this issue of being stuck on updating since I started using it about a week ago. Just a shot in the dark, but have you tried resetting your settings to defaults and rebuilding them manually yet? Except for 5 or so labels, my settings are the post-install defaults. Labels should have no bearing on tracker connections. There is no reset to default. You have to completely obliterate your entire uTorrent data files settings.
I've done this, without success. I've tested on older versions of uTorrent 1. I've tested other clients worked fine. I've tested an older version of the official bittorrent client works fine, can't be assed to install the latest version. As long as the OS is some version of Vista 64 and the uTorrent is version 1. It shows up eventually.
